Let’s find the work your business should hand to AI

A few quick questions before your workshop. We use your answers to spot the everyday tasks that slow good people down, score each one the way the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for AI does, and pick one to build live, the first step to becoming a Frontier Firm where your team and AI agents work side by side.

What a Frontier Firm looks like, in plain terms

You don’t need to know anything about AI to fill this in. You just know where the time goes, our job is to turn that into working automations.

Today. Your people spend hours on email, reports, approvals and answering the same questions, repetitive work that crowds out the thinking only they can do.
The shift. A Frontier Firm pairs each person with always-on AI agents. The routine work runs in the background; your people focus on judgement, relationships and growth.

How we’ll weigh each idea. We use the three lenses from the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for AI, so the idea we build first is the one most likely to succeed:

Value

How much time, money or quality it could win back, and whether it ties to a top priority.

Feasibility

Whether the data is reachable, it fits your tools, and the risk is manageable.

Desirability

Whether the people doing the work want the change, already use AI, and have someone to champion it.

Why the people side matters. Microsoft’s research is clear that the orgs that get the most from AI are the ones that bring their people along, so we weigh readiness, not just the tech. The first build we pick is one with a willing team behind it.

We’re hunting for work that is…
FrequentRepetitiveRules-based Lots of reading or writingStuck waiting on a person Checking work against standardsCatching costly errors

If a task ticks two or more of these, it’s probably a great candidate. Add it below, even if you’re not sure.

About you and your team

People & readiness the strongest predictor of getting value from AI

What would make the biggest difference?

Pick any that matter to you. This tells us what “better” should aim at.

Less time on email Faster reporting Quicker answers to staff Quicker answers to parents / customers Less document drafting Faster approvals Better meeting prep & notes Cleaner data & less re-keying More time for strategy Other
Growth / revenue Cost & efficiency Customer experience Quality & accuracy Risk & compliance Capacity / headcount Speed to deliver Other

Where does the time go?

This is the important part. Add one card per task or frustration. As you answer, we score it on Value, Feasibility and Desirability, show how big a build it is, and suggest the right approach, from a simple automation to a full AI agent.

How we read your answers. Following the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for AI, the best first build is high value, feasible to deliver, and wanted by the team. We also tell you honestly when a task doesn’t need an agent at all, a rule or a simple assistant is often the smarter, cheaper choice.
Questions to get the ideas flowing. Picture a normal week and jot down anything that fits, even half-formed ideas are useful and there are no wrong answers:
  • What do you or your team do that’s repetitive or manual?
  • Where do things wait, on an approval, a reply, or a person?
  • What question do you answer again and again?
  • What gets redone because of errors or rework?
  • What takes too long to find, check, write up or pull together?
  • What would you do with a day back each week?

Not sure where AI fits? Borrow an idea.

AI is not just for email. Some of the biggest wins are in expert work, like having AI check building plans, engineering drawings or contracts against the standards they must meet. Tap any starter that sounds familiar and it becomes one of your ideas to refine.

What should stay out

Anything that must never be used in an automation, demo or example. This keeps every build inside your policies, and is part of the responsible-AI check the framework expects up front.

Common examples. Confidential or regulated information; customer or staff personal data; financial, legal or board-level material; anything tied to an active HR or legal matter; and anything you are not permitted to share externally. List anything specific to your organisation below.
